Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PiDash ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Description of Service

PiDash is a mobile application for monitoring and managing Raspberry Pi devices and other Linux-based systems remotely. The App connects directly to your devices over SSH to provide system monitoring, terminal access, file management, and Docker container management services.

4. How the App Works

PiDash acts as an SSH client that communicates directly with your Raspberry Pi or Linux device using the credentials you provide. All system data, terminal sessions, and file transfers occur directly between your phone and your device over SSH/SFTP. PiDash does not proxy, relay, or store your device data on any intermediary server. Your SSH credentials are stored exclusively in your device's native encrypted keychain (iOS Keychain) and are never transmitted to PiDash's infrastructure.

5. Device Access & Credentials

PiDash does not require you to create an account. You connect to your Raspberry Pi by providing a hostname or IP address and SSH credentials (username and password or key). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your SSH credentials and for all activity that occurs through the App using those credentials.

6. Credential Security

Your SSH credentials are stored using your device's native encrypted storage (Expo Secure Store backed by iOS Keychain) with WHEN_UNLOCKED_THIS_DEVICE_ONLY access level. Your credentials are used only at the time of each SSH connection and are never:

  • Transmitted to PiDash's servers or any third-party service
  • Stored in plain text or in unencrypted storage
  • Synced to cloud services
  • Logged or included in crash reports

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features of the App require a paid subscription ("PiDash Pro"). By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring yearly basis and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Payment is processed through the Apple App Store via RevenueCat and is subject to the store's terms and conditions.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to Pro features until then.
  • Refund policies are governed by the Apple App Store.
  • A lifetime purchase option may also be available as a one-time, non-recurring payment.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
  • Use the App to transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Use the App to gain unauthorized access to systems you do not own or have permission to access

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is the property of PiDash and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or business purposes. Raspberry Pi is a trademark of Raspberry Pi Ltd.

10. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. PiDash is designed with a privacy-first architecture. Your SSH credentials, system data, terminal sessions, and file contents are never stored on PiDash's servers. Anonymous error reports and performance metrics are collected via PostHog to help us improve the App. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:

  • RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management
  • PostHog — Anonymous error tracking and performance monitoring

We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or security of third-party services.

12. Data Deletion

You can remove your data at any time from within the App. When you remove a device, PiDash performs comprehensive data cleanup: all SSH credentials are removed from secure storage, all cached data is cleared, and all local data is deleted. This process is immediate and irreversible.

13. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities. PiDash is not responsible for the operation or availability of your Raspberry Pi or other connected devices.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PiDash shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, system downtime, or business interruptions.

15. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

16. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

17. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@pidash.app.
